Dylan Bell

Short like Prince and sweet like Paul Simon, Juno-nominated Dylan Bell sings bass, tenor, alto, and vocal percussion. He secretly dreams of being Stewart Copeland… or Ferris Beuller.

Dylan is a mainstay on the Canadian music scene, singing with vocal ensembles The Watch, Hampton Avenue, and the live-looping a cappella duo FreePlay. He also has a secret non-a cappella life as a keyboard player and bassist with the world-fusion band Autorickshaw. Behind the mixing board, Dylan has produced or engineered several award-winning albums, working with such groups as Cadence, The Swingles, and the legendary Nylons.

When it comes to vocal arranging, Dylan wrote the book… literally. His major work “A Cappella Arranging” (co-written with Deke Sharon) was published in 2013 to international acclaim, and his vocal arrangements are sung worldwide from Adelaide to Zurich. Visit Dylan at www.dylanbell.ca
